An SOP is your personal account of your motivations, interests, aspirations and experiences. While you may go through a few samples, it is advisable to write the first draft by yourself and then fine-tune it in terms of the writing style and verbiage. Ensure to convey your story and make sure to include things that you could not elaborate on in your resume.
