Should I go to the Institute of Hotel Management if I do not have much of an interest in cooking?

    Hi Rohan,
    Hotel management career prospects and growth opportunities in India and globally are limitless, a hotel management graduate can work in various sectors like hotels, restaurants, cruise ships, amusement parks, country clubs, and convention centers.
    A standard of education and exposure are up to the mark both in India & globally, as the ultimate goal is to grow to the specific requirements of the industry.
    Hotel management does not strive on the Food production department alone, although it is one the most important department.In case you do not have interest in cooking, that should not stop you from pursuing your dream in hotel

    Hi Rohan,
    There are much more opportunities in this industry apart from cooking. Don't worry as you have lots of specialized programs in Hotel Management.

    Dear Rohan,

    Well yes you can go ahead as there are vast number of opportunities apart from cooking. LPU is a well renowned private university in India with 30K+ students all across the world and with 4000 experienced faculty members and staff members.     Hotel management is not only about cooking. It is all about hospitality, it is about care you give to your guest. There are a lot of options like:
    1. Housekeeping.
    2. Front office.
    3. Service department.
    You can choose according to your interest and skills.
