For doing B.Tech in Rajasthan, it all depends which college you are joining. UPES is a nice college, it has a very good record of placement and its infrastructure is also quite good and having good facilities. In Rajasthan also, there are good colleges, but all the colleges are not good. So it all depends which college you are joining. UPES has 18 specializations in Computer Science and in India there are very less colleges which provides specialization. So you can join UPES also. It is a nice college. -
Hello Parakshi,
On comparing these two colleges, for Computer Science, University Of Petroleum and Energy Studies is better than the other one, as the course curriculum, placements, and the career opportunities that you get here are outstanding.
On the other hand, the other one doesn't even stand at a good rank in India. -
Hey,
First up, all colleges in Rajasthan are not good for CS as compared to UPES.
For CS, you can prefer UPES (as you have asked among these 2 options). There are many perks if you'll do B.Tech from UPES. The faculty members are great with years of experience, the labs are advanced, the infrastructure is good, teachers are there to help you, the curriculum is also better as compared to RTU and private colleges in Rajasthan.
The placements are also great. Companies like Microsoft, L&T, Amazon and many more visit the campus.
As every college has merits and demerits, the only bad thing about UPES is its fees which is somewhat high.

If placements of colleges of Rajasthan are good, then you should go for them.
But here in UPES, placements are good. The highest package which is offered is around 17 lpa for CS and 27 lpa for petroleum engineering. Top recruiters are VMware, IBM, LNT, Microsoft.
