Should I join a college not recognised by the UGC and AICTE? If no, why?

Obtain degrees from non UGC or AICTE recognised Institutes will not be able to sit for government exams for higher education or apply for government jobs, However, they may find employment in some companies in private sector which hires candidates based on skills not on degree.

As per the Honorable Supreme Court judgment, AICTE approval is a must for the Technical Institutions but, UGC Universities are exempted from this approval. So if students want to join any UGC Approved University for any technical course, and it is not AICTE approved then there is nothing to worry about. LPU is the best University to join as it focuses on the overall growth of the students. Being an alumnus of LPU I would prefer LPU as it has helped me grow professionally and provides exposure to various opportunities in terms of internships, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, placements etc. As per my knowledge, Lovely Profe...more

Priya, don't go for a college that is neither having a UGC approval nor AICTE approval. Your degree won't have any value.
A university having UGC approval doesn't need AICTE approval but colleges/ institutions which are affiliated to Universities require AICTE approval.
