Should I join a college not recognised by the UGC and AICTE? If no, why?

As per the Honorable Supreme Court judgment, AICTE approval is a must for the Technical Institutions but, UGC Universities are exempted from this approval. So if students want to join any UGC Approved University for any technical course, and it is not AICTE approved then there is nothing to worry ab

Obtain degrees from non UGC or AICTE recognised Institutes will not be able to sit for government exams for higher education or apply for government jobs, However, they may find employment in some companies in private sector which hires candidates based on skills not on degree.

No, UGC or AICTE is required these days if you want to pursue any job in the government or private sector. As without its recognition, your degree will not be considered valid.

Priya, don't go for a college that is neither having a UGC approval nor AICTE approval. Your degree won't have any value.
