Should I opt for 3 years LLB course or pursue 5 years LLB course? Can I appear for CLAT exam in order to pursue 3 years LLB course?

Hi, It purely depends on who you are right now. If you already having a Bachelors degree then LL.B. Is preferable for you and not CLAT. CLAT doesn't provide LL.B. But if you are in your 12th standard and want to save your one year then you surely can go for CLAT and chose B.A. LL.B. Or BBA LL.B.
