Should I opt for aerospace engineering or pursue mechanical engineering?
I want to pursue Ph.D after acquiring 5 years of work experience.

Both Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering have good scope & opportunities for job after B.Tech and M.Tech. Aeronautical Engineering is niche branch wheras Mechanical engineering has wider application in multiple industries, therefore you should not compare them. You must do engineering based on your interests to excel.
