If you're interested in any particular engineering course or if you want to go with engineering jobs then go for B.Tech without any doubt. But if you want to go for public sector jobs or government jobs, they I would say, you just need a degree then why make it 4 years with B.Tech when you can have a normal degree in lesser time (3 years). So, please find your interest and make up your mind, then pursue a degree which suits your interest. Wish you all the good luck and success.

It all depends on your interest. If you want job in technical line then go for B.Tech but if you want to prepare for general exams then go for degree.Career prospective in both of these depends on you I.e how you have built your personality.yes,it might be said that a B.Tech graduate has wider choice of jobs and are generally preferred but I will still say, it all depends on your interest level.Study your field of interest then opt for any choice.
