Should I opt for CSE in LPU or pursue ECE from Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal?

Himanshu, LPU is one of the best universities in the country with world class infrastructure, modern facilities and highly qualified faculty from IITs, IIITs, NITs, etc. High tech MAC lab.s have been set up for the benefit of students. The university is having tie ups with many foreign universities and reputed companies thus facilitating higher education abroad and good placements respectively for their students. CSE is one of the branches in LPU having wonderful placements. Most of our students get placed in reputed companies with few opting for higher studies. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Students also go for on-job training (OJT) where they are paid stipend too.

It all depends upon your interest. No stream is good or bad. Your interest does so. Let me brief: LPU is one of the best universities in the country with world class infrastructure, modern facilities and highly qualified faculty from IITs, IIITs, NITs, IBSs, etc. LPU provides the latest curriculum which is accepted at industry level, industrial exposures and the best placement depending upon the caliber of the student. CSE & ECE both are the branches of an engineering courses but CSE is a branch of engineering related to Computer Science Engineering while ECE is a branch of engineering related to Electronics and Communication Engineering. ECE is about electronics and how the different electrical components (Microprocessor, RAM etc. ). Communicate with each other whereas CSE deals with telling these components what to do and when to do it; by programming them. B.Tech -CSE from LPU provides wonderful experience and handsome salary packages. LPU provides specialisation also in Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Full Stack Web Development, Big Data etc. In ECE the programme comes with engineering minors: CLOUD COMPUTING EMBEDDED SYSTEM DESIGN ENERGY SYSTEMS INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) MACHINE LEARNING FOR SIGNAL AND IMAGE PROCESSING ROBOTICS AND AUTOMATION VLSI DESIGN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION With a great curriculum which is benchmarked with foriegn universities. Every year nearly 600 companies visit for campus-recruitment of students. The companies which have visited as of now are: Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amdocs, Capgemini, Verizon, SAP Labs, Hitachi Power, Videocon, L&T Technology Services, Ericsson, HCL Technologies etc. So, I personally feel that CSE provides a wider scope but if you are oriented towards electronics etc. , then ECE is best.

Hi, Once I was travelling by train from New Delhi to Jalandhar and on my adjacent seats, two students were sitting who were studying in engineering in LPU. Being an educator, I was curious to know about the University, so the same I did. The points they highlighted I will mention below 1) The faculty and the infrastructure and other facilities are excellent. 2) The placements are 100% and the preparation for the same starts from the very first year. Recently, a girl got placed at a package of 42 LPA. Moreover, Amazon recruited LPU students with 28 LPA. More than 650 companies visit LPU every year for recruitment with an average package of 6-10 LPA. 3)They give you the option to choose your pathway elective as well that whether you want a corporate Job or Research or Government Job or you want to be an entrepreneur. 4) There is more than twelve Center of Excellence established by reputable companies like Automation Anyware, Texas Instruments, CISCO, SAP, Cadence, etc. 5) There is an innovation studio in LPU where students can work on their ideas. Moreover, in 2019, when the Indian Science Congress held in LPU, LPU Students also design Solar-powered Driverless Bus to ferry PM Modi to Indian Science Congress 2019 in this studio. 6) Last but not the least, the students told me that LPU has his own space shuttle programme, where students and faculty members are working on satellite programme with the joint help of ISRO. So with all these opportunities one you definitely pursue B.Tech from LPU. Thanks.

If we talk about teaching, placements, infrastructure or other facilities Then LPU is best LPU provides specialisation also in Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Full Stack Web Development, Big Data, etc. With a great curriculum which is benchmarked with foreign universities. Placements are also good. CSE students got placement in Amazon with a package of 28 Lacs per annum. As per the last year record of LPU The average packages in CSE are from 4 to 10lakh per annum. Moreover, ECE dept is also well-equipped with great facilities. LPU prepares student for placement by giving lot of extra inputs like personality development class, soft skills class etc. I believe that you should visit LPU campus or you can contact from the website.
