Hi Ayushman, It all depends upon your interest. No stream is good or bad. Your interest does so. Let me brief: LPU is one of the best universities in the country with world class infrastructure, modern facilities and highly qualified faculty from IITs, IIITs, NITs, IBSs, etc. LPU provides the latest curriculum which is accepted at industry level, industrial exposures and the best placement depending upon the caliber of the student. CSE & ECE both are the branches of an engineering courses but CSE is a branch of engineering related to Computer Science Engineering while ECE is a branch of engineering related to Electronics and Communication Engineering. ECE is about electronics and how the different electrical components (Microprocessor, RAM etc. ). Communicate with each other whereas CSE deals with telling these components what to do and when to do it; by programming them. B.Tech -CSE from LPU provides wonderful experience and handsome salary packages. Dear Ayushman, I have no idea about the Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal but being alumni of LPU I can assure you that both CSE and ECE programme at LPU is good in terms of placements and quality education. There are a few points I would like to share with you why CSE/ECE is good at LPU. Great Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE /ECE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 LPA and 31 LPA for ECE. PEP Classes- LPU provides placement classes to all the students from the very first year who opt for the placement. These classes help students for placements so that they can get selected in the pre-final year because the companies will start visiting for the recruitment of students from a pre-final year. Some of the students go for internships also in their final year. The Knowledge Review has rated LPU as the 10th best Training & Placement Institution in India. Hi, I would say you can pursue any course in LPU. LPU being in education for the last 18 years, has fetched many rankings to its credit as compared to any other institute. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. #Several big brands of the industry have visited the LPU campus during academic sessions. # Students are also provided with on-job training, industrial exposures inculcating in them modern management skills. #LPU believes in delivering quality, and for the same, it has hired faculty from the reputed institutes like IITs, NITs. The syllabus is vetted by the company officials of Cognizant, SAP, Microsoft, etc. , to provide an updated curriculum. #LPU has its own space shuttle programme, where students and faculty members are working on a satellite programme with the joint help of ISRO. #If you consider placements, LPU outperforms in that by assisting the student in getting the highest package by making the student prepare for the placements. I tell you, Tanya got placed in Microsoft at 42LPA, and many more students got hefty packages which I doubt students have cracked at the other mentioned institute.
