    Hello!
Since you have not done any advanced course in documentary production, you must have to go for doing the job. Because this job will not just give you the real insights but also will make you prepare for the further continuation of your studies. My advise will be to go for a job and then after for higher studies.

I believe, you must work after completing your course. Produce a few amateur style documentaries, get your hands dirty on the ground and that's when you will know what you exactly require to be the best in your field. Experience is the best trainer in such a creative and practical course and that's why it's important to know more before you study further. Also, this bit of experience will help you figure out which area of documentary/film production you are most interested in. And if you focus on the bit you are naturally most inclined to, it will result in a better career ahead for you.
