Should I opt for M.Tech in maths through Gate or pursue M.Sc in maths through IIT Jam? Which course has better scope and placement?

I have done B.Tech. ALL the IITs offer M.Sc in maths, but only 2 IITs offer M.Tech in maths.

Deeply clarify what actually you want to make your career. If it's maths, go for M.Tech. It's a higher qualification than any M.Sc. It gives easy placement and better job prospects.

    Hi Srajan,
M.Tech includes more part of computing and statistics. A maths M.Tech is assumed to be more qualified in the field of statistics. GATE-Mathematics exam is for M.Sc Mathematics students also whose primary goal is to go for Ph.D in maths. As you know only 2 IITs offer M.Tech in maths, so chances are less. So, you can opt for M.Sc in mathematics.
