    Both are same. Only thing is different i.e. PGDM is an autonomous programme and not so cost friendly and MBA is a university programme. If you are able to get a top government college through MAT, it costs less (around 1.6 lakhs). You can get a good college for MBA or PGDM if you qualify CAT.
    Don't be so naive to judge a college by its ranking (maybe purported), CTC annual package (which is not in hand) and brand name of the colleges participating in placement drive. Check the job profile, what exactly you have to do? Check for stability after placement from LinkedIn/Quora alumni chat.
