Should I prefer the contract-based job in BEL. They are taking a written test for the same; what will be the level of the exam?

BEL requires Senior Engineer and Deputy Manager on Permanent Basis for its Strategic Communication and Unmanned Systems Strategic Business Unit (SBU), Bengaluru Complex. If you are Fresher then you can apply for the Trainee Engineer-1 post. 1-year contract and is extendable for another 2 years. Starting salary is INR 25,000 per month. If you have an industrial experience of 2 years, then you can apply for the Project Engineer-1 post. The initial contract is for 2 years and is extendable for another 2 years and the salary is INR 35,000 to INR 50,000 per month. Yes, BEL is taking a written exam for contract-based jobs.

A contract based job is always a situation where there can be no opportunity tomorrow. To put it to a more elaborate way, it doesn't hold job security which usually private and government sector offers. Also, there is no confirmation for the next job. Incase you have another job offer, or you will to find a job immediately after the contract expires, only then a contract based job stands good. The level of the exam conducted is easy, and has basic level questions. It requires some practice to crack the examination. One advantage of joining BEL as a fresher is they refer to some really good MNC's with an advantageous package, but that entirely depends upon your performance during the job.
