Should I prepare for CAT to appear next year along with the job or should I just prepare for CAT?
I got 88 percentile in CAT this year. I belong to OBC but by mistake I filled general category in CAT. I also got selected in Infosys.

As you have already given one attempt so it is better that you work and study as this will add to your CV and this time fill the form carefully.
