Should I pursue 1-year Diploma and then 4-year engineering after doing 11th and 12th?

    No, you cannot. You have to complete Diploma, and then can go for engineering by lateral scheme.

    If you have completed your class 12th, then don't go for Diploma. I would ask you to go for Engineering. If you will go for Diploma, then it will be just waste of your time and money. Diploma is always preferable after class 10th. I would recommend to apply for Engineering after class 12th. Best of Luck.

    If you want to go for engineering, then why you are investing your 1 year in Diploma. You can directly pursue engineering, if you have interest in any desired field.
