Should I pursue 11th and 12th or a Diploma course in order to pursue automobile engineering in future?

According to me, Diploma is the best because in class 11th and class 12th, you will study chemistry and other subjects. But, in Diploma your basics will be clear and you can get admission in B.Tech through lateral entry.
