Should I pursue CSE from NIT, Calicut or IT from NIT, Surathkal?

My SC category rank is 694 in JEE mains. As per 2015 closing ranks, I can get CSE in NIT, Calicut and IT in NIT, Suratkal.

    In my opinion, you should pursue CSE from NIT-Calicut, because NIT-Calicut provides good quality of CSE faculty members, good course curriculum, good placements and computer labs also.

    In my knowledge, both the colleges are top ranked ones. Now, you should consider the placements of both to make your decision. Visit the websites of these colleges and have a look at the companies that visit them and the average packages offered. If possible, talk to some alumini of these colleges.
