Should I pursue Diploma in engineering?
I don't want to waste my two years in doing something different from my subject which I would opt later in engineering.

Yes, you can pursue a Diploma in engineering After 10th board exam, you have to qualify Diploma entrance exam then you can pursue Diploma in engineering easily.
