Should I register for CLAT counseling for UG programme. If not what are my options? Please help.

CLAT does not give a fixed number for grammar. The exam is fully passage-based. Grammar is tested inside English Language, which carries around 20% weightage.

You will see contextual sentence completions. You will also see sentence-improvement, pronoun reference, parallelism and meaning-based questions. All come inside English Language passages.

Find the true subject in each sentence. Practise meaning-based and parallelism questions daily. Revise common mistakes often. Reading English newspapers also helps.

Wren and Martin's High School English Grammar and Composition is a common choice for basics. Norman Lewis's Word Power Made Easy helps with vocabulary. Use both with regular practice sets.

Start early. Study grammar along with comprehension and vocabulary. Strong basics make later questions easier to solve.
