    From my point of view, it is definitely a smart idea to look at the NIRF rankings before taking admission, especially if you are planning to pursue a professional course like engineering. NIRF rankings are given by the Government of India and they judge universities based on important factors like teaching quality, research work, placements, facilities, and student outcomes. So it gives you a fair and neutral view about the performance of a university.

    Yes you should definitely SEE the NIRF Ranking of university before taking admission into any of the engineering colleges.     The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is a methodology adopted by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to rank institutions of higher education in India. The Framework was approved by the MHRD and launched by Minister of Human Resource Development on 29 September 2015.
