Should I take a 1-year drop for engineering as I want to apply for Govt. jobs in future? Will my age limit be hampered?

Every Government job has a good range in age criterion to accommodate students from different backgrounds. One year drop generally will not impact your chances of employment in Government or PSU or Private sectors.
