It is totally your call. There are two possibilities- 1. You have scored well in the first attempt and want to improve your score next year to get your dream college 2. If you really wish to enter NIT and IIT institute or any other good reputed institute, then you should definitely opt for drop. But, for that you should have patience and hard work, and this will pay you off. Good luck.
