Should I take lower NITs or should I go for the colleges like VIT and SRM in which I can get main campus with good branch?

My JEE Mains rank is 39000.

Hello gobind, As per your rank your chances of getting any NIT's is very slim. So if you got your preferred branches in VIT or SRM then choose any of them both are good.

I suggest you to take admission in VIT or SRM as per your choice because VIT university is India's 4th best university (first one is IIT Kharagpur & second is IIT Kanpur & third one is BITS Pilani) & SRM Is 7th best university. As per your question you didn't get admission in those IIT so VIT & SRM
