Should I write SELT test or IELTS to study in UK?

I will be completing my 12th by 2016 and interested to go UK. I was told by someone that I should write SELT test not IELTS to go UK, please explain and clarify

Hello Puja, SELT is a a term used by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) for the accepted English language tests as a proof of English Language proficiency. IELTS is recognized as SELT. So you must give IELTS as SELT is not a test but a term used for accepted tests for UK visa. SELT stands for Secure E
