    Hi Jasraj,
The VIT ranking mentioned of your son is not up to the mark for securing admission in CSE/ME/CE/EC at VIT in the first category. However, he may get admission in the subsequent categories but that will also incur you higher fees. So, If your son has a good preparation till date for BITSAT and Advanced, then you can drop VIT, otherwise, go for the counseling at VIT.
    Best Wishes.

Drop the idea of VIT, at 47000 he will not get computer mechanical civil in category 1. in later category he may get a seat with high fees. Moreover advance and BITS are prestigious exams. Better to focus on that. And try to crack it. All the best for him.

Better to drop VIT Conselling or request to reschedule date because advance is crusial and second thing what is the rank in JEE Mains as well as rank in BITS also matter.

If there is the option of withdrawal of admission in VIT, in such a case you may book a seat and wait for results of BITS & advanced. Rest if your son could score well in BITS & ADVANCED to get a good college based on the scores, in such a case he may leave VIT counseling.

    Hello,
If your son is confident enough to crack JEE or BITS then go for that but u must know that in that much rank your son will get civil or electronics in VIT Vellore in first category. Let me explain you the admission system here. Rank in VIT to get admission should be 90,000, so you can get admission in VIT from the 6th category as well. There are various categories as well.
With each category admission, fees go high. First category closed till 15,000 rank, and you can get CSE till 9000 rank and IT till 11000 rank, but there are 2nd category as well, if you want CSE, but you have to pay more for that.
