Should one prepare for CAT during their undergraduate degree or wait to get out of college?

Hello, If one can manage both the college studies and CAT preparation simultaneously, only then I would advise one to prepare for CAT (and other exams too) during the final year of graduation. The reason being, many top-ranked B-schools allot significant weight age to the graduation scores (along with 10th and 12th ones) during their admission processes. Thus one has to ensure that he/she doesn't with the college studies for CAT preparation. If it isn't feasible to manage both together, then it is better to take a year's drop for the same. As the daily preparation for CAT typically requires 3-4 hours of diligent studying, the rest of the time should be spent in pursuing activities which will add weight age to your resume and keep you ahead of the other freshers. One can pursue some certification courses (based on one's interest or related to the future MBA stream), internship(s), social work, research papers, work on projects, etc. which ensures your precious time is spent in the most productive way possible. And there is no harm in taking a year drop to prepare for the various entrance exams, many aspirants do the same every year. Only those who made the most of that one year eventually taste success.
