Should you pay crores of Rupees for a Radiology seat or go for other MBBS Specializations?

Hi Amit, Financially, it is a very sound bet. Let me tell you a simple example, Gynecology. The last I know, it costed roughly around 1 crore, about a couple of years back. Now, how do the doctors make the money back? One simple half an hour procedure costs roughly Rs 20,000 for half an hour procedure in a developing city like Indore, when there are no complications involved. Out of that, 10,000 goes as it is to the doctor's pocket. Even if the doctors handles 12 deliveries/abortions in a day, that amounts to more than 1,20,000 to the doctor for 6 hrs of work. Of course, doctors can do more procedures than that, but they also have to spend sometime with the patient and family members, so let's assume this to be the lower boundary. So, yes, that donation is every bit worth it, financially. If you can't afford it, beg, borrow, steal, no other investment gives better returns. *Small Rant*: I don't have any issues with Doctors making a fat amount. Really. If they can give better service, they should be paid. My analysis might be wrong and based only few sample points. Hope this information helps. Please feel free to revert.
