    Hi,
LPU nurtures the total development of its students and prepares them well for a good result.
The CGPAs are mentioned by certain companies as it is their minimum criteria for the intake of students. But only CGPA is not all a candidate needs. The level of confidence that a student gains from the extra curriculum activities makes the candidate a confident applicant.
Similarly LPUs Center for Professional Enhancement (CPE) is an endeavor, which aims at imparting new skill sets that are relevant to the current industry demands. The students get the inputs in terms of logical reasoning, aptitude, verbal ability and soft skills.
    So, a comp

    Dear Ashish,
Yes, in all universities, CGPA plays a vital role in a student's life. A good CGPA is a way towards a good placement.
CGPA requirements differ from company to company. Some companies want 8 CGPA students or some want 7 CGPA, so you never know which company asks for what CGPA. It is advised to students to maintain a good CGPA so it will not hamper your placements.

    Hello Dear,
Yes, CGPA and percentage affects a lot in placements drive but how you perform in placement drive tests and interviews matters the most. Good CGPA gives you a Green sign to sit in placement drives in a lovely professional university. I'll share you case of my friend there was a drive of Amazon in Campus. My friend had 6.8 CGPA and there was another candidate with 7.9 CGPA but in the final round, My friend got selected and he got the offer letter with a handsome salary package. Reason was the way he presented himself and performed in tests and interviews was good as per the carrier and placement department feedback.

CGPA matters in all the top engineering universities for placements, because the recruiter themselves put the conditions for taking the deserving students. Most of the extremely high packages of above 20 lacs per annum go to the students who maintain very good CGPA.
So, please understand that a University can call the recruiter to campus and provide you the best of opportunities, it is YOU, who has to grab the opportunities.
LPU gives n number of opportunities to students till they get placed, but it is obvious that the good students who are careful, hardworking and serious about attaining the skills get the best of placements.

    Dear Ashish,
Yes, CGPA matters a lot for best placements. But you must know from where actual consideration of good CGPA begins. The student with CGPA 6 and above is considered as good and eligible for placement drives in LPU. So, keep in mind, higher CGPA gives your resume a special edge as compared to others in front of company officials. One more point i want to add here. Each company has several rounds of recruitment, once you are eligible to sit in the drive, rest is your skills of coding, reasoning, communication skills, and knowledge of technology matters the most. i have seen many students with CGPA 6 and got placed in top comp

Yes, they do matter! No matter how much extra curricular achievements and PORs (Position of Responsibility) you have, you need to enter into the interview room to be able to show your extra curricular achievements. And a good CGPA gives you the right to enter into that room!
It happens in most of the cases that most companies do have a CGPA cut off to select students for the second round of interview/tests. What that means is that CGPA becomes the first criteria to select a certain number of students from the crowd of too many applicants. A student A has very good extra academics and he wishes to join company X. Company X has set a bar

    Hi Ashish,
You are absolutely right CGPA matters a lot while appearing in an interview. Good CGPA makes good impact on an interviewee. But not every time, it is a big dilemma for few such students those who have good CGPA but not able to flaunt their skills and capabilities. At this point CGPA becomes null and void if you are not able to express your skills. Thus, both good CGPA and you are good communication skills work simultaneously to get a decent job.
All the best for your future.

Yes, CGPA matters for better knowledge. Cgpa is the reflection of the knowledge you have. Different companies set different criteria for eligibility. For example, for most companies, it is 60%, for others, it is 70%. So, I would suggest you study both hardly and smartly to score good Cgpa and have the best placement offer.
    Thanks.
