sir i am doing be in mech i am in second year i am interested in software field so what are the steps i must follow to go to it field

in my college even mech guys are gettting placed in infosys and l and t i want to take it career what steps i must follow since i am mechanical student

@prashant one thing is that all big IT companies like infosys,lnt,tcs recruit an engineering student but there preferances are It and cs people but hey recruit all because all have engineering thinking. If u wan to enhance ur future in software field then i think in this semester u have programming
