Civil being a core branch has a number of options. You can go for the GATE or IES exam in case you wish to work in a govt. job. This branch would deal with subjects related to engineering drawing and graphics, forces, mechanics etc. Although Civil Engg. will not offer you much scope in the private sector. But since your board score is good, you can take up any college from your respective state technical university. In my opinion, make your mind for another choice besides civil too. Like a second preference. I guess your all India rank would be around 2,00,000.
