Hi, 1. Well you have not mentioned any exam in particular like IAS or IPS or SSC, yet the examination pattern is same for all as the conducting body is one. There would be two papers in prelims- Reasoning Aptitude and English Comprehension. Followed by the main exam that would entirely be subjective. 2. To be eligible to sit for UPSC Exam, one needs to be: An Indian National Citizen A graduate in any discipline from a recognized university and In the age limit of 21-30 years 3. There are a few criterion that needs to be in mind while selecting optional:- *First and the foremost, the Candidate must be comfortable in grasping the concepts of the subject. *Availability of study material is also an important factor in determining the optional subject. *Candidate should not choose a subject just because it's said to be scoring or his friends are choosing it. 4. Hi, The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) of India conducts the exam and on the basis of the result IAS, IPS, IFS officers are selected. I would request aru.chopra to give you detailed information about IAS. Good Luck. All the Best.
