Recruitment process of IPS officer is routed through civil service exam conducted by UPSC so prepare for civil services.

To be eligible to sit for IPS (Indian Police Services) Exam conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year, one needs to be:
An Indian National Citizen
A graduate in any discipline from a recognized university and
