Seats reserved for candidates based on state of eligibility. Some of the new NITs have union territories attached.A candidate, based on AIR and his/her choices, will be first considered for allotment under All India quota. If the choice is not available under All India quota, he/she will be consider

Hello deeksha,
State quota is generally known as quota which is only availble for a particular state people and only that state's people can avail facility of that quota.
