sir , which one is preferable pgdm general or pgdm(finance) considering that am from btech background? Please advice

HI, Both the courses you have mentioned i.e PGDM (Finance) and (General) are good course to pursue and has good career prospects and offers growth opportunities. In PGDM general you will be taught the insights of all the management subjects like marketing, HR, Finance ect, in the first year, and during the second year you can opt for any specialization of your choice.This course has a wider scope because even though you opt for specialization in second year, but you will be taught in detail about various management subjects. In contrast PGDM (Finance) is a specialized course, where from first year itself you will be taught exclusively in the field of finance only, it is basically a hard core finance course, so if you have decided that you will make your career in the field of finance only, then you can opt for this course. The advantage of PGDM general is that, if while studying in first year you realize that you do not have interest in finance and you wish to make your career in marketing, so you can opt for marketing as your specialization in second year. So before opting for any course you must first decide in which field you wish to pursue your career and accordingly you can opt for the course. I hope this answers your query. it all depends on what you are interested. as far as I know any pgdm would have specialisation. Is there any specific Institute where you have come across pgdm (general)?
