Sikkim Manipal University, Gangtok is incorporated
under the State Legislative Act (Act
IX of 1995) of the Government of Sikkim.
SMU is recognized by the UGC under
Section 2 (f) of the UGC Act, 1956, vide
its letter no. F.9-7/96 (CPP-I) dated
9.12.1998.
SMU is recognized by the Distance
