Taking one-year drop to improve my skills will affect my career in game designing?

I am about to give the Board exams this March, and after that looking to pursue the degree of Computer Science in Game Design. But before that, I am thinking of taking an year off to master various game engines, software and languages to hone my skills. Will it affect my career in any way?

    Well drop years are only for a strong willed persons. If you're weak willed you'll end up just playing games and wasting time. Usually strong willed people would have high marks to show - at least about 80+% in XII. Instead, go for the a Diploma alongside if you take a drop.     No not at all. You can take a drop and in this one year period improve your skill and get good score in future study
