If you are talking about Periyar University, Salem then yes it is recognized by UGC. However, there are several other Universities which you may consider to so your MBA. For further details check the link below:

Parihar university is recognised by UGC but not yet accredited by NAAC. IT is an average b-school according to me. Moreover, talking about SMU, it is a good place for MBA.

NO, "parihaar university" is not .
Please check the name "parihaar university" or "periyar university".
If you are asking about "periyar university" Salem, Tamil nadu,
The University got the 12(B) and 2f status from the University Grants Commission and has been accredited by NAAC with B
