There are a total of 8 rounds of JoSAA plus XB but the search result shows 9. Please clarify.

The JoSAA counselling 2023 will be in September 2023. There will be 6 rounds of seat allotment. Candidates who are allotted seats in each round of JoSAA 2023 Counselling will be required to choose the options from Freeze, Float or Slide. Candidates who opt Freeze option will be required to complete reporting process between the prescribed deadline. The candidates who are not allotted seats during JoSAA 2023 seat allotment rounds still get a chance to get enrolled in NIT+ system through CSAB counselling 2023. Eligible candidates had to apply for the JoSAA counselling 2023 online on the official website at JoSAA. Nic. In. Candidates who qualify in JEE Main and/or JEE Advanced are only allowed to participate in JoSAA 2023. During the counselling of JoSAA two rounds of mock allotment are held to help candidates make correct choices for the real allotment rounds.
