    Yes, the scope is there but it woulod be advisable if you enhance your academic qualification or get trained in some aspect of ECE.

    Scope of ECE is pretty good given that you may end up in a private company like texas instruments, analog devices, intel, freescale, ARM etc or even in a government job like BEL etc. The only thing you must target is to get into a good engineering college like IITs or BITS or NITs.

    Defense- army via UES,CDS, TGC, OTA,
    Civil services- IES, IAS
    banking sector
    Indian Railways- you need to clear the RRB EXAM.
    Indian Air Force and many more
    Doordarshan (Prasarbharthi), etc
    BHEL- REQUIRE 65 %
    BEL - MINIMUM 60 %
    SAIL- STEEL AUTHORITY OF INDIA.- to apply for this you need 65% in your engineering.
