Hi, GMAT is a test which need to be taken by students who wish to pursue MBA from universities abroad. So if you wish to pursue MBA from universities abroad, then you may surely take this test. GMAT test is held all-round-the-year. Unlike other exams, you can choose your own date and time for taking the GMAT. September to December is the high season for GMAT, so in case you intend to take the test during this period, you need to register very early, say 90 days in advance to get a date of your choice. As the medium of education in universities abroad is english, so all the international students whose first or native language is not english have take TOEFL test to prove their english language proficiency. However, please remember in order to pursue MBA from good universities abroad you need to have atleast 2-3 years of full time work experience after graduation, besides work experience you also need to have good academic record.
