To study B.Tech in computer Science engineering (specialisation in Bioinformatics) or CSE, which is a better college: VIT, Jain or LPU?

Dear Ansh, the demand of CSE graduates is very high in companies due to software based application development and process maintenance tasks. To get a reputed job, a candidate must have requisite skills and knowledge of this field. I can understand the concern of you. It is very difficult situation for you to decide. Every university is doing good for his students for their best career. Hello, I have done my Engineering from Lovely Professional University and I am a proud alumnus of LPU. I will be sharing my experience and I hope that will help you. Starting with my experience from the first year onwards, where we asked to join some Placement. Enhancement Classes, that day I wondering why there is a need of same at this early stage and then the day I was sitting in my placement drive, I recall all those essential points which were taught to me that day and those eventually helped me in securing my seat in an interview. One more point I would like to share that it is not just calling the company to the campus, but preparing the students up to such level that they can crack any interview is equally important. So, I have observed, LPU faculty members, put in a lot of efforts to get the students placed. So,preparing the students to such level is more important and putting up efforts for that is more important and that what LPU always takes care of. University has separate placement enhancement department, which focuses on overall development of students. University keeps on conducting, guest lectures, seminars, live projects, hands on training, sharing views and experiences by the experts and many more events which helps the students to broaden their thoughts and cope with the corporate world. In my batch I remember, almost 95% students were placed and there were many who got the multiple packages as well. I was one of them, I remember my day I am hopping around the campus and was looking around which option to choose, Finally I landed up choosing HCL, with which I am currently working as well since last 4 years and have received many promotions and hikes. All I dedicate that to my faculty members and mentors at LPU. They helped me in choosing the right decision at that time as well. Students are trained professionally from their first year onwards. The University provides maximum opportunities to students. It depends upon the students whether they want to grab the opportunity or not. Talking about my another life experience where we were asked to be a part of some live project in my second year and I was wondering, whether I am capable enough to be a part of such grand project from an MNC, but when eventually I started working, I realized I can do that and I had that much knowledge to be cope up with such projects. Different specializations are offered to students depending upon the stream they want to opt for. For example- In CSE, they offer cyber security, IoT, data Science, machine learning, and many more. Moreover, they give you the option for pathway elective that whether you want to be in the corporate sector, higher studies, Government Job, or entrepreneur. In addition to it, the classes you have to attend regularly. They did not compromise with the academics of the students. He was told that every year 550 companies visit to recruit students which shows the right choice to pursue your degree. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible student to secure good placement with the help of a dedicated Division of Career Services and faculty/staff. More than 550 companies visit every year for such activities and campus-recruitment of students from LPU. The astonishing companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Samsung, HDFC bank, Colgate, and many more visit every year for on campus drives and hire many students. Placements are also good. CSE students got placement in Amazon with a package of 28 LPA. As per the last year record of LPU, the average packages in CSE are from 4 to 10 LPA. LPU prepares student for placement by giving lot of extra inputs like personality development class, soft skills class, etc.

Well in my opinion, I will recommend Lovely Professional University. LPU is the best private university to go for B.Tech, it is one of the top 5 universities of India, providing quality education, innovative pedagogy and unbeatable placements both national and international.
