Hotel management belongs to hospitality. It does not belong to any stream studied in 12th standard. Non-medical students have lots of choices in engineering field. In the same way commerce students have various choices to pursue their career in business. Arts students have comparatively less choices so they mostly go for computer related program or hotel management.

It is not any specific stream to study. In the curriculum, it has flavor from all the streams. Student from any stream can join this course. It comes under management degree course, which is specialised as hospitality management. It opens the door for various jobs including (but not limited to) hotels, restaurants, retail, cruise, airlines, guest service/customer relations, etc. If you have good understanding of industry & business then, you can become a subject matter expert too.

Hotel management belongs to arts which has requirement of skills. But in hospitality sector, all faculty jobs are present like-commerce, management, etc.
