NID, PICASSO, ARTEMISIA, IIT BOMBAY are some good animation institutes. But u should be aware that college doesn't matters in this fields unlike other courses, only the work and talent speaks in this fields.

Animation is very good choice, it has vast scope and animation with time has got a good hold over movies, television and advertising industries due to the excessive use of special effects. Hello,
Till now you may have a list of animation institutes/colleges, just check for these before stepping in any of them. Do they have enough high-end systems/hardware and software?
Talk to students (currently studying there) and take their feedback.
Talk to any alumni of that institute, if they say we provide campus placements.
How good is the faculty? (ask students).
Working hours?
All the best.
