UGC NET- A test to QUALIFY for a career in TEACHING and RESEARCH
Almost all of the big and top universities are one by one declaring NET as a MUST possessed qualification to be eligible for the position of lecturers in their institutes. National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted by "The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC)"

There is a view that NET is a great obstacle and a bigger examination than even IAS and I find youngsters expressing difficulty.But, the main consideration here is the amount of awareness one has when he is a Degree student.Material acquired at the Degree level has its own importance.One more proble

Read, read and read some more. Jot down points of all that you read. Prepare mind-maps for easy revision and clear grouping of ideas. Whenever you come across impressive words, note them down and practice writing answers using those words. You need to develop a mature understanding of your subject t

Aspirants should try to co-relate the questions from the theory part. Devote as much time as possible to get in to the subjects & concepts.
Study the syllabus to identify which sections are more suitable for setting multiple choice questions, short answer questions and essay questions.
