Want to know abt lateral entry to B.Tech(CSE) after BCA.Maths was upto 4th sem.Had Business maths in 12th class.

I am a student of BCA (H) 5th semester. Had maths upto 4th sem. I have done 12th in commerce with Business maths as one of the subjects.I have come to know that as per AICTE guidelines,BCA students can seek admission to B.Tech(CSE or IT) through lateral entry to second year. I want to know abt it.

    Hi Babu,
    As far as my Knowledge goes you can go for Lateral Entry after BCA by giving Lateral Entry Entrance Examination. For further information on the complete procedure you need to get in touch with the Institutes giving admission through Lateral Entry like Manipal University etc.

    On the basis of Information provided by you , you are not eligible for lateral entry in B. Tech Programme. For lateral entry you have to be a diploma in the relevant branch of engineering. For you better option is to do MCA after completing BCA.
