Looking for the Best Engineering University or College in Punjab, Go with Lovely Professional University. I have done my engineering from LPU and was a part of campus placements. I was one those lucky students, who got multiple job offers. Currently I am working with HCL and it's been 4 years, I have received many promotions and increments and all I dedicate to LPU. Major Highlights of Engineering programme at LPU are : Record placements with over 610 hired on a single day by cognizant. Tech mahindra hired 250 students in one go, which is the highest for any campus drive conducted by tech mahindra. More 90% placements and some of the department 100% also. Lpu collaboration with google, SAP and oracle. Byod bring your own device, Project based learning, Training and internship. Lpu students don't line up for placements, the companies do. The finance minister himself inaugurated lpu start up school. Students forego secure jobs to launch startup e-rickshaw, a new green transportation revolution! Project Expo- new project models showcased and Go kart championship. Competitive programming: students are exposed to higher order problem solving skills by making them part of competitive programming events like codechef, hackerrank, topcoder etc. LPU has alumni all over the world. LPU alumni can be found in most top global brands like Apple, Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Bank of America etc. With packages of over 1 Crore. Extra and Co-curricular :sports, campus events, Visitors, Diversity and Art and culture etc. Innovative Curriculum: choice based credit system, Technology driven, outcome based, up to date industry focused, skill enhancement, professional development class, inter-discipline minor. Etc. LPU NEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of eligibility for some of the programmes and for scholarship for most of the programmes. Lovely professional University is best at all in terms of education, infrastructure, faculty members, placement, extra co curricular activities etc. I have done my graduation and post graduation from the LPU and LPU is one of the great place for education where the management actually believe on actions rather than words. Whatever they promised they delivered to us along with in campus placement at good package. LPU has around 2300 faculty members in the university. It has experienced, specialised and well qualified faculty members. LPU has earned many affiliations, recognition and accreditation and mark itself among the few of the top private universities. Moreover the placement opportunities in LPU are much better than other private universities as it is ranked the 5th amongst the other universities for its placement records. More than 550 companies visit every year for such activities and campus-recruitment of students from LPU and this year for batch graduating in 2020, already more than 500 placement/internship drives have been conducted till January 2020 with leading industry giants (more than 90% being MNCs) and generating more than 3000 offers just in the first half of the academic session. Dear Sukhwinder, Well, there is actually no comparison. CSE being a highly dynamic field needs the curriculum up gradations almost continuously, LPU is only one of the few private universities which has recognised this and developed the process of continuous feedback and consultations with industry to upgrade the syllabi in real time ! LPUs investment in intellectual capital is way beyond the comprehension, extremely qualified and talented ! With a research powerhouse of more than 100 post doctorates and 700 PHDs LPUs strength is its academic power. Coming to infrastructure, the huge 600 acre plus campus which is equipped with each and every machinery, equipment an software required in all the programs is a wonder in itself, just for an example, more than 10 companies have established the centers for excellence within the campus with their own investment to keep an eye on the abundant talent ! The central library is one massive 6 story building with lacs of books and network to produce any title anytime ! And this is in addition to many other libraries in all the departments. Industry plays important part in shaping the careers of students at LPU, from consulting for curriculum, to guest lectures, industry interface, internships, consulting projects, establishing centers, providing machinery and equipment's, software, certifications and finally immersing the students from campus. Attracting 30000 plus students, 200 international universities and more than 600 companies from all over the world to its state of the art multicultural campus year after year after year speaks volumes about LPU. Dear Sukhwinder, For the people who have just finished their class 12 exams, this is the question that is keeping them awake. It is not very easy to choose the place where you are going to spend your four years towards education. And it is utterly important to base on few factors while choosing the best college for you. I know you are confused for choosing best University for your higher education. As per my knowledge both the Universities are doing good but I will suggest you to choose Lovely Professional University. Reviews are pretty good of this University. My brother has completed B.Tech CSE from LPU and currently he is working with Amazon with decent package. Few points I will discuss here from my brother experience, which will help you to take right decision:- The university also gives us the opportunity to get real-life exposure through various training programs and an internship, which is mandatory for all. Professors go for value-based education which is something we as professionals would require in our career. Guest lectures by experts and some really successful people are arranged by our department to widen our scope of learning. LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, number of admissions in CSE department have been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. He told that With the advancement of course you'll be learning numerous programming languages. In the third year SAP will be introduced in the curriculum. Limited number of Universities provide this course. Here in LPU, students will learn SAP for the entire third year providing them an edge. Students start getting internship and job offers from the 6th semester on wards. If you are eligible and possess all the requirements needed by the recruiter, then you may get placed in the 6th semester itself. The packages are quite decent too, for instance the first company that visited the campus in 2018 gave a package of 13 LPA. Curriculum in CSE branch is very well designed such that they can learn everything from basics to the in-depth knowledge of their field. The College takes them for the industrial visit for more growth and experience. It hands on experience by also working on live projects to develop a sense of problem-solving, and critical thinking in order to gain real-life understanding along with skill enhancement. So, it is very important for a candidate to select such institute whose curriculum is designed as per the latest demand of recruiters. Computer Science Engineering (CSE) is a major branch of engineering at LPU. The maximum number of student get admitted in CSE programme. In fact, LPU is also known for CSE. Dear, LPU is probably one of the fastest growing universities in the country, if not the world. It is one of the few that has embraced international practices when it comes to designing curriculum. Instead of using old school books and lectures, LPU has experimented with books, interactive problem solving interactions and working through real world applications. For example, the mechanical engineering students actually had their own stall at the Auto Expo right besides BMW and Toyota. They were showcasing their live projects on which they were actually graded (as opposed to sitting in exams and vomiting out chapters). Student life in LPU is awesome. Each and everything are available within campus. It is totally discipline based university. No ragging at all. You are free to explore yourself. The main thing is that one needs to know the right points where to spend time. Make some good friend. Avoid bad people. Your friend circle should be of your type to make it glorious. There are ample amounts of students organisation. You can participate either for fun or learning. If you have some talent in other field (like guitar, violin, music, dance cricket, football. , drawing etc. ). Then lpu will never stop you. There are ample platform in lpu to sharpen your passion. When it comes to faculty, the VC is the highest rates prof of a top university in the US and most professors are IITians (in fact LPU was the top recruiter from IIT Delhi, more than all banks and consulting firms). Most faculty actually lives on campus, which is also great for students as that means easy access to them 24x7! LPU is alsi very entrepreneurship focused, with many students running on campus businesses in the university mall.
