As I remember resolving power of an optical instrument is inversely proportional to the wavelength of light:

R1wR \propto \frac {1} {\lambda}

So the ratio of their resolving powers:

R1R2=w2w1=50004000=54=1.25\frac {R_1} {R_2} = \frac {\lambda_2} {\lambda_1} = \frac {5000} {4000} = \frac {5} {4} = 1.25

Ratio of resolving powers = 5 : 4 (or 1.25)
