Placements in LPU for AE are appreciated. Many MNC's visit the campus for campus drives and recruit a few students who have excellent skills.The companies are TATA, L&T, Ashok Leyland, Bharat Benz, Mahindra etc are the top MNCs and many medium scale companies are recruiting students from LPU.

The outcome of studying engineering in any College/ University should be landing yourself a decent job or getting good opportunities. Placement aren't nowhere good as they are shown in advertisement by LPU. People, you see in ads, have graduated out of LPU, yeah sure. But, they got that high paying job on their own, by clearing GATE and then doing M.Tech from IITs or MBA from some other institute. Then comes LPU to take the credit and uses it as a means of getting more admissions. Most of the companies come for B.Tech CSE, but no criteria/Entrance exam for admissions, leads to 104 sections of CSE. (Yeah, you've read it right) and Every section contains around 60 Students. Do the math. For Students of Mechanical and Civil, Chances of getting a job are very less. (It can't be understated). Out of a batch of 1600 Mechanical students, Merely 60 students have gotten placed. 35 in Ashok Leyland. 56 students batch in some different non-core companies. You must be thinking, getting placed on Ashoka Leyland is not bad, that's where you are wrong. LPU printed out big banners just after this so called feat of 35 students getting placed in a company this big. In reality, they got internship for 10 months, and got a salary of 10k/month and a assurance that they'll be given job after the internship. Turns out, they are sending everyone back. Students reported that the cost of living in cities (Bangalore, Alwar etc) exceeded way more than what they were given as salary. They were doing job by giving money out of their pockets.(What a irony.!) Other mechanical guys got placed in Sales, which they have no knowledge about and have to achieve a target of selling products,if they plan on getting salary. The experience they'll get will mean nothing when they decide to go for core mechanical jobs, they prepared 4 years for. LPU used to rely on mass recruiters like Cognizant, Tech Mahindra etc for placements. Unfortunately, they didn't come this time and the conditions have worsened. Chances are very high they won't come in coming years too. Students' parents are informed via SMS everytime when a company comes and if you don't get selected they'll receive a SMS saying Motivate your ward. Many times, Companies with big names like TATA, BOSCH, Godrej etc come for Placements with no salary package and your parents will be notified about the company but not the salary package. Half the placement drives get postponed or cancelled.
