Shams@ hi vinay, AS exam comes under the Civil Services exam conducted by UPSC.It is conducted in three stages i.e Preliminary,Main and Interview.You need to pass all the three stages in order to become an IAS. The eligibility for IAS is as follows: -Bachelor's degree from a recognized university. -Age limit: 21-30yrs. If you fulfill the above criteria,then you can apply for IAS exam. Preliminary exam consist of two papers i.e General Studies and Optional Subject.It is of 2hrs each. Main exam consist of 9 papers in all.It includes Language: one of the Indian languages, English, Essay GK and Current Affairs: 2 papers on general studies Optionals: papers from two subjects that fall in optional-1 and two papers from optional-2. You can get the application form from the post offices by cash payment. You can get the notification of the exams from the UPSC website. www.upsc.gov.in
