What about the Extra curricular activities? How is the campus?

Dear Thajudheen, I have no idea about the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade but being MBA alumni of LPU, I am sharing details of the LPU campus life with you. All facilitates are provided at the Campus Hostel and you'll have the complete choice to choose the accommodation that suits you and your budget. Zero Ragging/ Zero Discrimination: Nobody is ragged at LPU, This word actually doesn't exist here. There is complete secularism in the LPU hostel life as you will find seniors and juniors treated similarly at the Campus and even at the Hostel. So, there is no division among the students as per their academic year like other campus hostels. Students from the various ends of the country/ neighboring countries come and join LPU and lives in the same Hostel without any discrimination. Food/ Mess: Honestly I won't lie about the mess at the campus, because I myself took food for the first 6 months at the hostel mess until I explored other good places but there are so many people who actually like a mess. If you're one of them very good and if not then fab you're in my gang so, you don't have to worry at all about the food at LPU because there are like 358+ shops inside the campus providing all varieties of food from continental to south Indian and that too at very mediocre rates. Some days if you don't feel like going out you can even order at Dominoes, go to CCD, Mall, etc Food is not at all a problem at LPU. Outdoor Games/ Indoor Games/Gym: There are so many places at Campus for outdoor games and as well as indoor games. Some are campus properties and some are vendor properties (game parlors) where you'll have to pay to play. Everything is fun wherever you fit in yourself. Besides academics, our university provides us with a lot of opportunities to pursue our extracurricular interests. For those interested in sports, the campus is equipped with all necessities like a basketball court, cricket ground, swimming pool, and more. Students interested in volunteer work can get into government organizations such as NSS. Plenty of student-driven organizations help improve public speaking, leadership qualities, peer mentoring, and also efficiency in teamwork. Performing on stage in front of thousands of people helps boost your confidence. All these skills help you build a strong CV and help to stay career-oriented. Communication Skills The most important thing that an interviewer looks for is communication skill. And, it requires practice because it is not something you can learn by simply reading a book. Engaging in an extracurricular activity makes you talk to different people, each having a wide range of interests. With this, you can estimate how precisely you must communicate with a person. Dedication When you are engaged in some extracurricular activity, you try to dedicate a specific time to that particular activity. You will understand that time dedicated will pay you off because you learn something wonderful. It also improves your work ethics and teaches you how dedicated one must be during work. Leadership and Teamwork Working together wins a game and the same goes for teamwork. Leading the team improves our leadership qualities. Working in a team teaches you how to get along with different people; this helps to expand your horizons. It also helps with learning and adapting new and creative ideas. Improves Academic Performance With consistency in adapting these skills helps balance your academic performance as well. Moreover, it boosts your time management skills and manages work without stress. Broader Social Skills Students involved in other activities get to know a lot of professionals. It helps to build their social skills. You'll also learn how to maintain decent behavior in society. Regardless of all these, engaging in extracurricular activities helps you grow personally and professionally a practice to lead a life in a good way and adapt a meaningful lifestyle.

LPU is tremendous in terms of extra curricular activities for students. The university campus spreads over 600 acres (2.4 km2) in boundary on the outskirts of Jalandhar. The green environment is super conducive to learning. LPU hosts one of the largest set of laboratories. There is a Museum containing demonstration of Projects. There is Polyhouse Technology A climate controlled cultivation (Hi-tech farming) of horticultural crops for high yield and quality production. Multimedia Studio for Science, Research and InnovationLPU has three auditoriums - Baldev Raj Mittal Unipolis (seating capacity 20000+), Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium (seating capacity 2500) and university Auditorium (seating capacity 350). These auditoriums are widely used to host the events of international and national repute. The University has 2 amphitheatres which are used to organize cultural events, competitions, plays and the like. These amphitheatres are also used by regional and national film makers as location for their movies and songs. There is Aviation Lab, cultural labs, university hospital, in house laundry. Shanti Devi Mittal Indoor Stadium is a cynosure for all sportspersons and it has multifarious facilities under one roof which include 6 Squash Courts, 1 Basketball Court, 3 Volleyball Courts, 12 Badminton Courts, 1 Shooting Range (25 Lane), 3 Swimming Pools, 1 Fully equipped Gym, Weightlifting Room, Chess Room, Yoga Room, and Aerobics room, University has 12 full-fledged gyms out of which 2 are indoor and 10 are outdoor. These gyms are equipped with world class facilities, air-conditioners, spa room, sauna bath, cardio, calisthenics, aerobics hall, and specialised trainers. University has a center for Yoga in an area of 93.94 sq. These center is equipped with world class facilities, and specialised trainers. To take a break from their academic engagements, students can enjoy bowling, at Bowling Alley consists of bowling lines in an area of 678 sq m. Campus provides best in-class roller skating infrastructure where students can relive their childhood and prepare for competitive events.
